Obstetrics

ObstetricsBeing able to find a Doctor in a rural healthcare setting that is obstetrics trained is getting harder and harder to find. Luckily, in St. Paul, Nebraska, that is not the case! All four Physicians on staff are trained in obstetrics. In addition, Dr. Brennan and Dr. Kramer took part in a procedural fellowship specific to cesarean sections, which added an additional year to their Residency.

All HCCHMC Physicians provide prenatal care at the Clinic and obstetrics care at the Hospital. All four Physicians are also Family Practice Physicians so the care can continue for both the mom and baby after birth.

Nurses at HCCH also go through extensive training so that they may assist with obstetrics patients. Classes included in that training are Neonatal Resuscitation, Post-Resuscitation and Pre-Transport stabilization of newborns, in conjunction with A.L.S.O. training, which stands for Advanced Life Support Obstetrics.
