Float Nurse Position
- The primary function is to serve as a liaison between the public and the providers and screen calls as necessary.
- Answer the telephone professionally, take messages accurately and be able to relay the messages to the provider for assistance if necessary.
- Assist patients with consultations on health concerns, need for appointments, etc in a timely fashion.
- Ability to read and interpret a medical chart.
- Ability to accurately chart and document information.
- Responsible for communicating test results to patients when necessary.
- Gives injections and logs medication.
- Needs to maintain a professional rapport with patient base, providers, pharmacists, and other clinic personnel.
- Ability to understand and fill out necessary applications for indigent and discounted drug programs.
- Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse is required.

Registered Nurse (Hospital)
- Primary function is to provide professional nursing care to patients.
- Observe, record, and report as appropriate the symptoms, reactions, and progress of patients.
- Ability to administer IV medications, maintain proper insertion sites and have knowledge of drug use.
- Able to assess patient condition and document accordingly.
- Initiate and revise written Care Plans on acute and long term patients.
- Delegate duties, coordinate and supervise patients care and teaching.
- Takes verbal or telephone orders from Physicians/Physicians Assistant and documents on chart.

Certified Nursing Assistant
- Primary function is to assist a licensed nurse in the provision of direct or indirect patient care as delegated.
- Provide personal care for inpatients and outpatients as necessary. This care includes oral care, bathing, shaving, combing hair, backrubs, trimming nails, etc.
- Take vital signs on inpatients and outpatients as ordered, and record them. This includes temperatures, pulses, respirations and blood pressures.
- Change linens on patient beds, at the time of bath, and as needed. This includes occupied and unoccupied bed.
- Get patients out of bed and help them into chair or wheelchair as needed. Ambulate patients as ordered, with walker or gait belt, if necessary.
